A Quinta Studio detail set for the kit of the American B-26F/B-26G Marauder bomber in 1:48 scale from the maker ICM. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory, an interior upgrade for one particular kit. These are 3D-printed, pre-colored parts on a decal backing: they are applied like a decal, but they have real three-dimensional relief. The result is a photorealistic interior with depth, with instrument panels, controls and details, and all that with no need for painting.
The B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber of the Second World War period. The F and G versions were among the later executions, with a revised angle of wing incidence and further changes. Do not confuse the type with the later A-26 Douglas Invader, which is a different aircraft.
The parts are thicker than ordinary decals and behave more like thin colored wafers: dip the sheet briefly in lukewarm water, slide the piece off the backing paper onto gloss varnish and do not use a decal softener or a setting solution. It is good to have the surfaces under the application clean and smooth. Finish and fit the interior before closing the fuselage up. The instrument faces can be picked out at the end with a drop of gloss varnish for the impression of glazing.
This is not a model kit but an accessory for the B-26F/B-26G Marauder kit (ICM), which the customer has to obtain separately. The set does not have to fit another kit. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
