The movie graphics of the black Honda S2000 roadster for models in 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Honda S2000 arrived in 1999 for the brand's fiftieth anniversary. The roadster had its engine mounted behind the line of the front wheels, drive to the rear axle and a two-liter four-cylinder designated F20C, which turned nine thousand revolutions and gave a power per liter until then reserved for racing specials. A weight distribution close to half on each axle made it a machine that was forgiven even its hard suspension and its nervous behavior in the wet.
With a wide audience, however, it made its name differently. The black example belonging to one of the opponents in the first film of The Fast and the Furious series carried a wide body kit, and sharp ornaments in warm shades ran across its flanks, curling from the front fender back to the tail. The artwork on this sheet is based on exactly that treatment.
The ornaments have thin extensions and these break easily while being lifted from the backing paper. Cut them out together with the border of film, transfer them onto a wet surface and position them while the motif still slides. On dark paint an intermediate gloss coat is needed, otherwise the base shows through the thin color layer and the sharp shades turn gray.
Check the symmetry of the two flanks by looking from above, never from the side. A deviation in the curl of the tip of an ornament is visible in a finished photograph sooner than any other inaccuracy of the build.
What is in the package is a printed sheet. Body panels, wheels and the kit of the roadster do not belong with it.
An interesting shortcut is to apply the graphics before the windows and door handles are fitted, because an empty shell is considerably easier to hold in the hand and the film does not catch on projecting parts.
