About product

Curtiss P-40K – Radiators Upgrade Set 1:48 (Eduard, 3D print)

A detail accessory, not a model of an aircraft. By direct 3D printing the set renders the radiator installation of the P-40K faithfully – the oil cooler and the engine cooling circuit including the flaps – and replaces the corresponding plastic parts of the base kit in 1:48 scale. It is exactly the radiator bath under the fuselage that is a striking recognition feature of the P-40, and fine detail stands out there.

What the set offers

Three-dimensionally rendered radiators with a faithful structure of the matrix and the flaps, which can be shown on a finished model far more convincingly than a coarser plastic part.

Usage tips

Wash the parts, cut the print supports off and smooth the marks. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend a primer and airbrush painting; the fine surfaces of the matrix respond well to being picked out with a wash.

Who the set is for

  • modelers who want faithful P-40K radiators instead of simplified plastic
  • builders used to 3D printed parts and super glue
  • anyone interested in maximum detail on the lower fuselage

This is a supplementary set, not the model itself. The plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
