This is a 3D-printed detail accessory, not an aircraft kit. The set contains the exhaust nozzles and air intakes for the power plants of the carrier aircraft and replaces the simplified plastic parts with more convincing castings with fine texture. Intended for 1:48 scale. The patrol E-2C Hawkeye and the transport C-2 Greyhound share the same engine nacelles.
The Grumman E-2 Hawkeye is a carrier-borne airborne early warning and control aircraft, easily recognized by the large rotating radome on its back. It is powered by two turboprop engines. The derived C-2 Greyhound serves to carry cargo and people to aircraft carriers. Both types have flown from the decks of the US Navy for decades.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water because of any uncured print resin residue. Clean the thin edges of the nozzles and the intakes carefully and cut the remains of the print supports away with a sharp knife. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the insides of the intakes and the hot areas of the nozzles separately before fitting them, and then unify the result with a light wash.
The set is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
