This product is an aftermarket accessory, not an aircraft kit. The set contains resin landing gear wheels for models of the F-111A, F-111B, F-111C and F-111D versions in 1:48 scale. The wheels have a finely drawn tread and hub and are usually made with a hint of load, so that once they are fitted the heavy aircraft settles on the ground more realistically than with the plastic wheels from the box.
The F-111 was an American two-seat combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, committed above all to long-range strikes against ground targets. The versions differed in equipment and role; it was a massive machine that placed considerable demands on its landing gear and tires, and a faithful rendering of the wheels is therefore a rewarding refinement of a model.
Separate the wheels from the casting blocks, wash them free of mold release residue and clean them up. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). With loaded wheels, take care that the flat contact patch faces the ground. Sand with respiratory protection; painting the tires and hubs is made easier by masking the join between them.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
