Reskit air intakes for the F-14 Tomcat (B, D), 1:48 is a 3D-printed resin set that replaces the engine air intakes and refines the detail of the model. It is an accessory, not a model. It is intended for the GWH kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set by Reskit in 1:48 scale, made in resin by 3D printing. It replaces the plastic air intakes that feed the engines on a model of the F-14B/F-14D Tomcat fighter with more accurate parts with a faithful shape of the leading edges and the internal ducts. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that raises the realism of a finished model. The set is intended for the GWH kit.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was a two-seat supersonic carrier fighter of the US Navy with a variable-geometry wing. The F-14B and F-14D versions received more powerful General Electric F110 engines and upgraded avionics; the characteristic angular air intakes on the sides of the fuselage are typical of the type.
Wash the residue of uncured print resin off the parts, cut them from the 3D print supports and clean them up. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand resin with respiratory protection. Before gluing, check the seating against the parts of the base model.
This is a resin accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
