This detail set from Reskit in 1:48 scale holds replacement landing gear wheels for a model of the British carrier aircraft Fairey Gannet. The parts are 3D printed in resin with faithful tread pattern on the tire and detail on the hub, and they are intended as a replacement for the plastic wheels of a kit, not as a standalone model.
The resin wheels replace the split plastic wheels from the box with a more faithful one-piece part. A number of versions come with the flattening at the contact patch suggested (weighted under load), so the aircraft stands realistically on its landing gear. The set is intended for Fairey Gannet models in 1:48 scale.
Wash the wheels free of print resin residue and cut them from the print support (usually at the contact face of the tire). Sand with respiratory protection. Lay down primer before painting; for masking the tread while the hub is sprayed, use a circular mask or masking tape.
This is an accessory for superdetailing. It holds no aircraft model, glue or paints.
