This is a stand-alone resin accessory, a precisely cast miniature of the American APH-6D flight helmet in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a small detail part meant to bring pilot figures and aviation dioramas to life. It is made by Firma49.
The APH-6 was a series of hard flight helmets of the US Navy and the Marine Corps, used on jets from the end of the 1950s and throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Its hallmark is a rigid shell with a hinged visor covered by an outer shield and a detachable oxygen mask. The APH-6D version is one of the later variants of the series.
It is supplied unpainted as a resin accessory. Paints, glue and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
