FOD for McDonnell F-4 Phantom II is a resin set of air intake covers (FOD) in 1:48 scale from the company Reskit for models of the F-4 Phantom II fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory set of protective air intake covers, not a model of an aircraft. The abbreviation FOD (Foreign Object Damage) denotes the covers that are fitted into the engine intakes on the ground to keep foreign objects from getting in. The set from the manufacturer Reskit holds resin, or else 3D printed, covers for the McDonnell F-4 Phantom II fighter in 1:48 scale. They give a model on a stand the realistic look of a machine secured on the apron.
The F-4 Phantom II was an American two-seat supersonic multirole fighter, one of the most widespread combat machines of the Cold War. It served with the US Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps and in many other countries. The large side air intakes were commonly covered on the ground with protective plugs, which this set captures.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent and separate them from the casting blocks, then glue them with super glue. The covers are usually painted in a striking color (often red) with the lettering REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT, which can be added with a decal or by hand.
An accessory set. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
