A detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for its Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-3 and A-4 kits in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model and not a kit; it is an accessory that replaces the plastic main landing gear parts from the box. The parts are made by direct 3D printing, the set contains six printed parts and it contains no photo-etched parts, masks or decals.

Usage tips

Separate the parts carefully from their supports with a sharp scalpel or a fine saw and clean up the remains with a file. Wash them in lukewarm soapy water before the build and let them dry. They are glued with cyanoacrylate, as ordinary cement for plastic has no effect on printed parts. Apply a primer before painting. Protect your airways when sanding and sand wet if you can. Because the landing gear carries the whole weight of the model, give the joints plenty of time to cure and pick the finished model up by the fuselage.

For modelers who build the Fw 190 A-3 or A-4 in 1:48 scale from Eduard and want to take the detail beyond the level of the box contents. Experience with printed parts and cyanoacrylate is assumed. It goes well with further detail sets, for example wheels, exhausts or a cockpit.

It is an add-on set, not a stand-alone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
