This product is an aftermarket accessory, not an aircraft kit. The set holds two GBU-12 Paveway II laser-guided bombs in the thermally protected form, in 1:48 scale. Reskit makes them by modern 3D printing in resin, which gives sharp edges, fine detail on the guidance and stabilization sections and a clean surface. They serve to refine or complete the external stores of aircraft models.
The GBU-12 Paveway II is an American laser-guided aerial bomb created by fitting a classic 500-pound bomb with a guidance and control section with forward canards and rear fins. It is among the most widespread precision-guided munitions of Western air forces, and in the thermally protected variant it has a characteristic outer covering. It appears under a range of tactical and multirole aircraft.
Separate the parts from the support structures, wash them and clean up the mating surfaces. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It is better to spray the bombs separately and to fit them on the pylons at the end of the build. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
