The real subject

The F-14D Super Tomcat is the final and most modern version of the carrier-based Tomcat interceptor. It received new powerful engines, digital avionics and modernized systems. Like the earlier versions, it has robust landing gear adapted for catapult launches and landings on aircraft carriers.

Building and painting tips

Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Shade the tires in a matte blackish gray and the rims in metallic shades with subtle accentuation. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
