This is an aftermarket detail set, not an aircraft kit. The set from the Czech manufacturer CMK contains 3D-printed resin bombs and underwing racks for a model of the British bomber Handley Page HP.52 Hampden B.Mk.I in 1:48 scale. The parts offer markedly finer detail than the plastic parts from the kit.
The Handley Page Hampden was a British twin-engined bomber from the early part of the Second World War with a characteristically narrow fuselage. Besides dropping bombs it also served other tasks, including mine laying. Faithful external stores bring the underside view of a model to life.
Separate the parts from the print supports, wash and degrease them and glue them with super glue. Spray the bombs to match the period markings and bring out the racks with a wash; metal areas can be toned down with a fine pigment.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
