A resin ejection seat in 1:48 scale, intended for the cockpit of the single-seat version of the British and French Jaguar attack aircraft. The package holds one piece in the Mk.3 form, that is in the later standard. It is a standalone accessory, not a kit of the aircraft.
The seats of the Martin-Baker Type 9B family changed on the Jaguar over its service life. The modification introduced in 1986 moved the machines from the Mk.2 state to the Mk.3 state: it reworked the headbox so that the pilot's parachute and the drogue chutes of the seat were stowed in it, and the back-mounted parachute container fell away. Visually it is the most conspicuous difference in the whole family, and it is exactly what tells you which seat your particular machine carried. A counterpart in the Mk.2 state exists for the earlier cockpit form.
First wash the casting in warm soapy water, so that the mold release residue disappears. Separate the casting block with a saw or a cutting disc, not with clippers, or it may crack. Bond the joints with super glue, because ordinary cement for polystyrene does not hold on resin. Protect your airways when sanding and work wet. The detail comes out after a coat of primer and a light color drybrushed across the edges.
The accessory is supplied unpainted, without glue and paints.
