A set of modeling decals in 1:48 scale from Model Maker with the markings of the aircraft associated with the Czech fighter ace Josef Frantisek, the prewar Avia B.534 and the British Hawker Hurricane fighter. It is an aftermarket accessory, not a kit; the decals are applied to already built plastic models of both types. The set contains markings for several machines; the exact numbers and wording are given in the enclosed instructions.
Josef Frantisek was among the most successful Allied fighter pilots of the Battle of Britain, where he flew with No. 303 (Polish) Squadron of the RAF on Hawker Hurricane Mk.I machines. Before going abroad he served with the Czechoslovak Air Force, where the Avia B.534 biplane fighter was among his aircraft. The set therefore makes it possible to build models representing both chapters of his flying career.
Apply the decals to a finished and clear coated model, ideally over a gloss clear coat, using the usual technique with water and, if needed, a decal softener; once dry, unify the surface with a matte or semi-gloss clear coat. The set contains no plastic and serves as an accessory to the base models of the Avia B.534 and the Hawker Hurricane in 1:48 scale.
