Colored 3D interior elements for a model of the Japanese Ki-51 aircraft in 1:48 scale, prepared for the kit from Wingsy Kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mitsubishi Ki-51 was a Japanese single-engine two-seat aircraft meant for direct support of ground troops and for reconnaissance. You recognize it by the fixed landing gear with wheel spats and by the long glazing above both seats. On the Allied side it was listed under the code name Sonia. That long glazed cabin is exactly why it pays to give the interior attention on a model, because you can see inside along its whole length.
The set offers colored interior elements with a raised relief, that is instrument faces and panels in finished color. It takes the place of laborious painting of small dials and gives the cabin a depth that flat printing cannot reach. The elements are shaped for the kit from Wingsy Kits in 1:48 scale.
The application procedure differs between the individual ranges, so follow the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with the set. Check in them whether the elements are applied dry or by the wet method and proceed accordingly. Paint the base in the cabin, let it dry thoroughly and degrease it. Lift the individual elements out with a sharp blade and move them with fine-tipped tweezers, try them in place dry and only then press them down with a soft tool, so that the relief is not crushed.
It will be appreciated by modelers who want clean work under a glazed canopy without hours spent over dials. It also suits those who are only starting out with colored 3D elements, because in this scale the areas are easy to handle. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
