This resin (3D printed) set in 1:48 scale is not a vehicle kit but a set of the American M1 Garand semi-automatic rifle. It serves to arm figures and to dress up dioramas and weapon racks. The fine 3D print holds faithful proportions even in the smaller scale.
The M1 Garand was the standard semi-automatic rifle of the US Army in .30-06 caliber from the end of the 1930s. It proved itself a reliable infantry weapon in the Second World War as well as in the Korean War and ranks among the icons of American armament of the 20th century. It gave the soldier faster fire than older bolt-action rifles.
The slender parts are fragile - work with tweezers, wash them in lukewarm water with detergent and separate them from the carrier blocks. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Render the wooden stock in brown and the metal parts in dark steel; a wash will bring out the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as resin parts. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package.
