A photorealistic printed display surface showing the parking apron of the March Air Reserve Base air base in California in 1:48 scale from Uschi van der Rosten. It is not a model - it is a scenic base on which you stand finished aircraft models and so create a convincing diorama of the apron. The motif is printed on several good-quality sheets that fit into one another along the lines, for joins that are almost invisible.
The display surface takes the place of laborious painting of concrete and asphalt - the faithful texture of the surface, the hatches, the tire marks and the yellow and white apron markings are all there at once. It serves as a realistic scene under fighters and other aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Cut the sheets out accurately along the lines, lay them together and glue them to a firm base with a thin layer of adhesive, so that no bubbles form. A matte clear coat will even the surface out and protect the print from rubbing.
The board itself and the aircraft models are not included in the package. It is a scenic accessory, not a model kit.
