CMK 1:48 Marder IIIM Exterior Detail Set and driver half figure is a resin (3D-printed) add-on set for sharpening up the exterior of the Tamiya Marder III Ausf. M tank destroyer in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin (3D-printed) add-on set from the Czech maker CMK serves to sharpen up the exterior of the German Marder III Ausf. M tank destroyer in 1:48 scale. It is not a standalone model but an aftermarket accessory for building the Tamiya plastic kit. The package contains an open driver's hatch and a driver half figure, which lets the opening be filled in a way that makes sense.
The Marder III Ausf. M (Sd.Kfz. 138) was an improvised tank destroyer built on the chassis of the light Panzer 38(t) tank. It carried a 7.5 cm PaK 40 anti-tank gun in an open superstructure placed above the rear of the hull, which gave the crew a good view but only limited protection. The Wehrmacht used vehicles of this type from 1943 on every front as a mobile anti-tank weapon.
First wash the resin parts to remove print resin residue, cut off the print supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend cleaning up and painting the driver half figure separately and only then seating it in the open hatch. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
