This resin wheel set from the Ukrainian manufacturer Reskit is an aftermarket accessory for models of the two-seat McDonnell F-101B Voodoo interceptor in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit, but a replacement for the plastic wheels that will raise the realism of the landing gear. The castings carry a faithful tire tread and hub detail, and often a fine flattening of the tire where it meets the ground.
The F-101 Voodoo was a McDonnell jet aircraft of the so-called Century series. The F-101B version served as a two-seat interceptor of the American air defense and was armed with guided missiles as well. The set matches the main and nose landing gear wheels of this variant.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. It is a good idea to paint the tire and the hub separately for a sharp transition.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The aircraft model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
