A clear pink from the GX range of the Gunze Mr.Color brand. It does not cover the base but tints it, so the final tone is set by the coat underneath.

The word Clear in the name of a shade means that the paint is transparent: it does not cover the base, it only tints it. The pink tone therefore does not appear on its own but only in combination with what lies beneath it. Over a polished silver base it gives a brilliant pink with a metallic sheen, over a white base coat rather a soft pastel cast, and over darker metal it turns toward wine red. You control the depth by the number of coats applied, not by mixing the shade in a pot.
Above all for so-called candy painting, where a transparent coat is laid over a metallic base, that is on car bodies, motorcycles and helmets. Then for toning clear parts, for color transitions over silver and for fine-tuning a finished metallic surface that only needs shifting into a warmer tone. It also comes into its own wherever a deep color is meant to be seen through.
The base has to be smooth and glossy, otherwise the transparent coat looks matte and uneven. Apply it in thin coats and check the shade on a test piece, as it looks deeper once dry than it does while spraying. Stir the pot well before use. Choose the thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. Ventilate while you work and protect your airways.
The paint alone is supplied. Thinner, brushes and the model are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
