This panel from the Polish manufacturer Yahu Models is a finished, factory color-printed instrument panel of laminated photo-etched parts. The color dials are completed by a gloss varnish that imitates the glass of the instruments. The late version matches the later instrument panel of this variant. This is not a model of the aircraft but a detail accessory for the cockpit, which replaces the basic part of the kit and needs neither painting nor decals.
The North American P-51D Mustang is an American single-seat fighter of the Second World War with a bubble canopy and a good view from the cockpit. Thanks to its great range it escorted bomber formations deep over enemy territory, and it is among the most successful fighters of its day. The glazed cockpit makes the instrument panel a prominent feature.
The panel is glued in with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) in place of the original part. It is advisable to degrease the surface and to work carefully with tweezers, so that the color layer does not get scratched. The panel is intended for models of the North American P-51D Mustang in 1:48 scale.
This is an accessory for the cockpit, not a complete kit. Glue and the base model are not included in the package.
