A set of replacement resin landing gear wheels for a model of the OV-10 Bronco in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer Reskit. This is not a kit of an airplane but an accessory, a simple way of improving one of the most visible areas of a model.
The twin-boom OV-10 Bronco served as an observation machine and a light attack aircraft, and its tall landing gear is an unmissable part of its silhouette. Kit wheels made up of two halves call for the cleaning up of a seam and the drawing of the rims tends to be soft; one-piece resin castings remove that problem and add sharper relief. In quarter scale it is a quick swap with an immediately visible effect, an ideal first step into the world of resin accessories.
Wash the castings in warm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off and sand the mark down lightly. Glue the wheels on with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and prime them before painting. Paint the rims and the tires separately, where masking fluid or a template will help, and liven the finished wheels up with a fine dust pigment that underlines operation from field airfields.
This is an accessory set: the base model of the airplane is not included in the package.
