This set is NOT an aircraft model but a resin detail accessory intended for Su-33 models in 1:48 scale. The cast wheels replace the plastic parts with more faithful tires and hubs matching the landing gear of this carrier version of the Flanker family. The set is meant for more experienced modelers.
The carrier Su-33 has strengthened landing gear adapted to takeoffs and landings on an aircraft carrier, and its wheels are rugged and clearly visible. Resin tires have a realistic tread and a cleaner hub than injection-molded plastic, which improves the overall impression of a model on the ground. The parts are designed as a direct replacement.
Wash the wheels free of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; sand with respiratory protection. Choose a dark gray shade for the tires, set the hubs apart with a mask or a brush and add weathering to match operations on deck.
This is a supplementary set, not a complete kit. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
