An injection-molded plastic set of small carrier aircraft, Royal Navy Aircraft II, in 1:700 scale from Flyhawk — it is not a model of one airplane but an accessory for fitting out warship models.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic set of miniature shipboard aircraft of the Royal Navy of the Second World War in 1:700 scale from Flyhawk. It is not a model of one airplane but a detail accessory meant for fitting out warship models and bringing them to life. The set holds small aircraft molded in plastic, completed with photo-etched parts and decals for a faithful finish.
Royal Navy cruisers and battleships carried catapult-launched reconnaissance aircraft. This set holds the amphibian flying boat Supermarine Walrus and the small Fairey Seafox float reconnaissance biplane. Both types served for reconnaissance, spotting for naval gunfire and patrol; they took off from shipboard catapults and after alighting on the water a crane lifted them back on board. In 1:700 scale they are small but prominent elements which bring a ship model markedly to life.
The parts are very small — work with tweezers, a sharp knife and a small amount of glue. Bond the photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend painting the aircraft separately before seating them on the deck or the catapult; an airbrush or a thin brush and British naval schemes suit the painting. Apply the fine decals onto a smooth varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
