An injection-molded plastic kit of the British single-engined biplane bomber Airco DH-9A in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov. It is a new tooling; the At war boxing offers markings for three aircraft of the Royal Air Force from the period at the end of the First World War. The package contains plastic parts, clear parts and decals.
The DH-9A was an improved version of the DH.9 bomber, into which the American twelve-cylinder Liberty engine was fitted. It entered service at the very close of the First World War and did not see much combat, but afterward it remained for many years the standard light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft of the Royal Air Force.
With a biplane it is worth thinking the order of gluing and the rigging through, that is, the tensioning of the bracing wires between the wings. We recommend trying the parts dry, gluing with thin cement for plastic and a primer filler before painting. Bring the fabric-covered surfaces out with gentle shading and apply the decals onto a gloss base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
