This 3D-printed resin accessory in 1:72 scale reproduces the American AN/ALQ-184 electronic warfare jamming pod in the shorter length variant. It is not an aircraft model but a standalone underwing unit that you hang under the wing or the fuselage of a model. Thanks to 3D printing it has a fine surface and accurate shapes.
The AN/ALQ-184 is an American electronic countermeasures (ECM) pod that jams hostile radars and guidance systems. Among the aircraft that carried it were the A-10, the F-4G, the F-16 and the C-130, and it exists in several length variants.
Wash the part gently, separate it carefully from the carrier block with a sharp knife or a fine saw and bond it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Apply a primer before painting; the surface and the lettering come into their own after spraying with an airbrush and a light accent.
It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as an accessory. The aircraft model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
