AN/ALQ-87 ECM pods, late type (2 pieces) are a 3D-printed resin accessory in 1:72 scale for models of American combat aircraft of the Vietnam War era.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains two 3D-printed resin replicas of the AN/ALQ-87 jamming pod in the late configuration. It is not an airplane model but an external accessory to be hung under American aircraft of the Vietnam era. The printing captures fine details and crisp transitions.
The AN/ALQ-87 was an American electronic warfare pod used to jam air defense radars. The late version differs from the early one in shape modifications and details of the casing. It was carried on the outboard pylons to make the guidance of enemy missiles more difficult.
Wash the uncured print resin residue off the parts, remove the print supports and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue. Apply a primer before painting; the fine details come out after a light emphasis of the shadows.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without a host model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
