A short-run injection-molded plastic kit of the German two-seat Arado Ar 66 biplane from the Czech manufacturer RS Models. The package adds photo-etched and resin parts and decals for night ground-attack versions. The model is intended to be glued and painted.
The Arado Ar 66 was designed in Germany in the early 1930s as a trainer biplane with a radial engine. During the Second World War these proven, undemanding machines found a role in night harassment ground-attack units (Nachtschlacht), above all on the Eastern Front, where they attacked ground targets in the dark.
Clean up the parts first and dry-fit them. Glue the plastic with liquid polystyrene cement and the resin with cyanoacrylate. Flat shades and gentle panel emphasis suit the night schemes; plan the biplane bracing and the rigging wires before final assembly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
