Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the AV-8B Harrier II Plus vertical take-off attack aircraft in 1:72 scale from Hasegawa, done as a machine of the US Marine Corps (U.S.M.C.). The model is molded in gray plastic, with clear parts for the glazing and decals, and it is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Harrier II is an attack aircraft with the ability to take off and land vertically or from a short strip, thanks to the vectored thrust of its engine. The Harrier II Plus version received a radar in the nose and wider combat capability. With the US Marine Corps it served for close air support and operated from land bases and from the decks of amphibious ships alike.
The swiveling thrust-vectoring nozzles and the external stores deserve attention. A base coat and painting with an airbrush are worth using; a low-contrast gray naval scheme is typical. Paint the landing gear and the nozzles separately. Apply the decals over a gloss clear coat and seal them with a matte one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
