This is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory. The set contains cast resin wheels for models of the American attack bomber Douglas B-26 (A-26) Invader in 1:72 scale. It is the type 2 variant; the manufacturer also offers a different type 1, so choose according to the wheels you want to show on your aircraft.
The wheels are cast with weighted tires, which reproduce the way the rubber settles and flattens slightly under the weight of the aircraft. Both the tread and the structure of the hubs are sharper than on production plastic wheels. The accessory raises the realism of the landing gear without any laborious reworking of the parts from the box.
Before gluing, wash the parts in water with detergent because of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue resin with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the wheels over a primer; the tires can then be softened with pigments and the hubs accentuated with a fine wash.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
