An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109E-1 fighter in 1:72 scale from AZ model, in the markings of JG 27 machines.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was the main German fighter throughout the Second World War. The E series, known among modelers by the nickname Emil, received the liquid-cooled Daimler-Benz DB 601 inverted V12 engine. The E-1 version stood at the beginning of this series and carried machine gun armament; only the later variants received cannon. The recognizable features of the series are the angular canopy and the radiators under the wing.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale with a decal sheet and building instructions. The boxing is focused on machines carrying the markings of Jagdgeschwader 27. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the parts have to be separated from the sprue, glued and painted.
Before gluing, dry-fit every part and even out any slack by sanding the mating surfaces; that saves work with putty. Separate the parts with a sharp blade rather than by snapping, so that no material is torn out. They are glued with ordinary cement for polystyrene. Mask the canopy glazing before you start spraying the surrounding areas and apply the paint in thin coats. Give the model a gloss coat under the decals and once they have dried even out the surface with matte or semi-gloss varnish.
The kit suits modelers with basic experience who will appreciate a less usual early version of the Bf 109 and do not mind a little fettling of the parts. Paints, glue, putty and tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
