An injection-molded plastic model of the Soviet armored personnel carrier BTR-152V in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian brand ICM. The V version was an improved configuration with an open hull for the dismounts, a central tire inflation system and a front winch. The box contains injection-molded plastic parts and decals for Soviet as well as Czechoslovak markings.
The BTR-152 was the first series-produced Soviet wheeled armored personnel carrier (6x6). The BTR-152V version from the middle of the 1950s was built on the chassis of the ZiL-157 truck and brought a central tire pressure regulation system, thanks to which the vehicle coped better with soft ground, and a front winch for self-recovery. The open hull carried an infantry squad.
Assemble and paint the chassis, the axles and the interior of the open hull first, and finish the hull only afterwards. Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic, fill the seams and sand them smooth. Apply primer and paint with an airbrush; bring the Soviet green to life by picking out the panels with a wash and with dust pigments. Because the hull is open, it pays to paint the interior carefully.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
