An injection-molded plastic kit of the fighter F-16N Fighting Falcon in 1:72 scale from manufacturer Hasegawa. The model depicts the slim fuselage, large cockpit glazing, and characteristic belly intake; the kit is completed with waterslide decals.
The F-16N was an aggressor (enemy-simulating) version of the light multirole fighter F-16, operated by the US Navy for air-combat training. It served to practice dogfights, where it represented a fast and agile opponent for training crews. It was based on the F-16 design with lightened equipment focused on performance and agility.
Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage, and mask the large canopy glazing. Aggressor aircraft carried bold camouflage patterns that stand out well under an airbrush; spray the color transitions with a light touch. Highlight the panel lines with a subtle wash and unify the surface with a protective clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
