Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the large four-engine aircraft Fw 200 C-8 Condor in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. It is a sizeable and richly broken-down model with a high parts count, capturing the long slender fuselage, the four engine nacelles and the glazed nose. The box contains clear parts and a decal sheet with several marking options. The instructions in the box give the exact number of parts and of marking schemes.
The Condor was originally created as a long-range airliner, and during the war it became a feared machine for long-range maritime reconnaissance and attacks on Allied convoys in the Atlantic. The C-8 version was among the late combat forms adapted to carry anti-ship guided missiles, with which the aircraft could attack ships from a safe distance. Its long range made the Condor a dangerous hunter far out over the ocean.
Given the size and the parts count this is a build rather for the more experienced. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and let the long fuselage and the wings dry supported so the joints do not give way. Apply a primer before painting; maritime schemes with dark upper surfaces and a light underside are typical. Mask the extensive glazing and paint it last, and pick out the panel lines with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
