Hampden — a color photo-etched instrument panel from Yahu Models is a finished detail accessory for the cockpit of a Handley Page Hampden model in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory for the cockpit — a color, pre-printed photo-etched instrument panel for the Handley Page Hampden. The panel is put together from several laminated etched layers, which give it real depth, and the dials are printed in color and coated with gloss varnish imitating the glasses. It is fitted in place of the plastic or decal panel from the kit.
The Handley Page Hampden was a British twin-engine medium bomber of the beginning of the Second World War. Its narrow fuselage with a markedly tapered rear earned it a nickname referring to a suitcase; it was used on night raids as well as for minelaying. The cockpit typically has a densely populated instrument panel.
Separate the panel carefully from the fret, gently adjust it if needed and glue it on with a small drop of cyanoacrylate or clear glue. In 1:72 scale tweezers and good light are worth having; try the shape dry beforehand.
This is an accessory for the cockpit, not a whole model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
