The Handley Page Hereford plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Valom — the version of the Hampden bomber with Napier Dagger engines.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the twin-engine Handley Page Hereford in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Valom. The short-run model combines injection-molded plastic parts with resin and photo-etched pieces and holds decals for two marking options.
The Hereford was a variant of the Handley Page Hampden bomber fitted with Napier Dagger H-block engines in place of the radial Pegasus. These engines proved unreliable, and so the Hereford was used almost entirely by Royal Air Force training units.
With a short-run model, expect careful cleaning up and some adjusting of the fit of the parts. Finish the interior before closing the fuselage. Wash the resin parts to remove the mold release agent, and glue the resin and photo-etched pieces with cyanoacrylate glue. An airbrush suits the period camouflage and the yellow undersides of the training machines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
