Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the Aero HC-2 Heli Baby light helicopter in 1:72 scale from SabreKits. It is a short-run kit built on an injection-molded plastic base complemented by 3D-printed parts (the wheels, the engine and the seats, for instance), new cabin glazing and new decals. Short-run kits usually call for more cleaning up and dry-fitting than mainstream kits.
The HC-2 Heli Baby was a Czechoslovak light two-seat multipurpose helicopter developed and produced by the Aero works in the 1950s. It was one of the first series-built Czechoslovak helicopters, used for training and light duties. Its glazed cabin and open lattice tail section were characteristic.
On a helicopter, pay attention to the main rotor, as the blades have to sit evenly and in one plane. The cabin glazing is the dominant feature in view: mask the frames and glue the clear parts with glue for clear parts or with cyanoacrylate glue with a minimum of fumes, so that the clear plastic does not fog. Wash the 3D-printed parts free of residue before gluing and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting and use an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
