This set is a resin (3D-printed) accessory in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian brand Reskit. It is not an aircraft model but a pair of replacement landing gear wheels with a weighted effect for a model of the German Heinkel He 162 Salamander (Spatz) jet. The tire sags realistically where it meets the ground.
The He 162 was a single-engine jet fighter from the very end of the Second World War, designed as a cheap machine that could be built quickly. It saw only marginal combat, yet it remains one of the technically remarkable types of the final months of the war. Faithful wheels with a tread pattern raise the realism even of a small model.
Wash the parts free of print resin residue, cut off the print supports and glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Separate the rims and the tires by masking, apply a primer and spray the paints with an airbrush; turn the flattened area toward the contact with the ground.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
