Indochine Part 5 – French M8 75mm HMC and M36B2 Tank Destroyers is a Star Decals sheet of wet decals in 1:72 for French equipment from Indochina.
Responsibility details are not available.
The fifth part of the Indochina series from Star Decals in 1:72 scale. A sheet of water-lifted decals with the markings of the French M8 75mm HMC self-propelled howitzer and the M36B2 tank destroyers. It is not a kit but sheets of markings for lettering finished models.
The M8 75mm HMC was a light self-propelled howitzer on the Stuart chassis, whereas the M36B2 was a tank destroyer with a powerful 90mm gun. France deployed both vehicles of American origin in the war in Indochina for direct fire support and for fighting fortified targets. They carried French tactical numbers, names and unit markings, by which they differed from the original American equipment.
Apply the decals onto a gloss varnish base, cut the motif out, soak it briefly and slide it into place. A softening solution will help a decal flow around the rivets and edges of the hull; a final matte varnish will unify the markings with the surrounding paint.
The product is a set of decals. The model of the vehicle, the paints and the softening solutions are not included in the package.
