Extended glazing over two seats is what Rob Taurus 1:72 Me-262 B offers for the two-seat version of the German jet aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
Cockpit glazing for the two-seat version of the German jet aircraft, supplied separately as a clear part. The rear section of the glazing and the whole shape of the spine differ on the two-seater from the single-seat fighter variant, so the parts are not interchangeable and you need to reach for the B version exactly.
The Me-262 B-1a was created as a trainer for converting pilots to jet power. In place of part of the fuel load it received a second seat and extended glazing over both positions. From this basis grew the B-1a/U1 night fighter conversion, which carried radar with antennas projecting from the nose and an operator in the second seat working its screens. The use of night Me-262s over Berlin in the spring of 1945 is one of the most remarkable episodes of the end of the war in Europe, because these were the first jet night fighters in combat service at all. Only a few dozen were built.
First test-fit the part dry on the fuselage and mark the places where material needs to be removed. Finish the seats, instrument panels and interior frames and flat-coat them before you seat the glazing. Cut the masking tape into strips following the individual panes; the two-seater has noticeably more of them than the fighter version, so set aside extra time for masking.
The aircraft to be assembled is not included in this offer; this is an add-on part.
