A resin detail set of replacement wheels for Messerschmitt Bf 110 E/F/G models in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that replaces the plastic wheels from the box with more faithful castings with a fine tire tread and well-drawn detail of the hubs and wheel centers.
The Messerschmitt Bf 110 was a German twin-engined heavy fighter and fighter-bomber of the Second World War; the E, F and G variants were among the later combat and night fighter versions. The landing gear wheels are among the most visible parts of a finished model, and cast resin offers sharper detail here than injection-molded plastic can manage. The set is a welcome improvement seen close up and for photographing a model.
First wash the parts to remove the remains of the mold release agent with warm water and detergent, then separate them from the casting blocks with a sharp knife or a fine saw. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); sand and clean up with respiratory protection. A dry test of the mating surfaces and any fine adjustment before the final bonding are recommended.
This is an add-on detail set, not the model itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
