Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese Mitsubishi A7M1 Reppu fighter (Allied reporting name Sam) in 1:72 scale from the Japanese manufacturer FineMolds. The model renders the prototype A7M1 version. Check the exact contents of the package and the number of decal schemes against the instruction sheet. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
The A7M Reppu was intended as the successor to the famous Zero, the A6M fighter, for the Imperial Japanese Navy. The A7M1 prototype was powered by a radial engine whose insufficient output disappointed expectations at first, and despite its potential the type never entered series combat service. It remained at a few prototypes and pre-production machines. The Reppu is thus among the interesting aircraft of the closing stage of the war that never saw combat.
In 1:72 scale the parts are tiny, so work with a sharp knife and tweezers and join the plastic with liquid modeling cement. Detail the cockpit before the fuselage is closed, mask the canopy glazing and spray it with an airbrush over a thin primer. Careful cleaning up of the parting lines and of the sprue gate marks will give a clean result.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
