Replacement exhaust nozzles for a Panavia Tornado aircraft model in 1:72 scale. They replace the simplified parts from the kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Tornado is a combat aircraft that came out of a joint program by Great Britain, Germany and Italy. Its recognition features are the variable-geometry wing, which sweeps back in flight, and the two-man crew seated one behind the other. Power comes from two engines mounted side by side in the rear fuselage, so the tail of the aircraft ends in a pair of exhaust nozzles. That is exactly what tends to stand out on a finished model: the viewer looks at the aircraft most often from behind and above and sees into the nozzles.
Replacement exhaust nozzles in 1:72 scale. The set replaces the corresponding parts from the kit, which tend to be shallow and without inner structure. The number of parts, the exact purpose of the set and the kit it is cut for are given in the manufacturer's instructions; check that it matches your model beforehand. The parts are not polystyrene and are bonded with super glue.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder, so that the edge of the nozzle stays thin. Check the round opening against the light after sanding, so that it is not oval. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Paint the inside of the nozzle before you glue it into the fuselage; once fitted you can no longer reach into it with a brush. Apply metallic shades in thin coats over a smooth base and leave a noticeable difference between the inside and the outside of the nozzle, as that is what gives the tail depth.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
