The Bulldog is a single-engine low-wing basic trainer with a piston engine. Side-by-side seating under a large canopy, fixed nose landing gear and calm handling made it a typical school horse: a machine that suits the first hours at the controls and at the same time takes practicing maneuvers. In a display case it makes a pleasant complement to combat types.
This is an aircraft kit in 1:72 scale meant to be glued and painted. The parts are supplied on sprues and the parts list and the recommended shades are given in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
Dry-fit the fuselage halves and the wing first so that the dihedral sits symmetrically. Fit the glazing only after painting and mask the canopy frames with narrow tape. Trainers tend to have prominent warning stripes and colored wingtips; those are done by masking and overspraying the lighter shade, not by drawing with a brush. Add the propeller and the landing gear legs at the very end, because until then the model is easier to handle and nothing breaks off.
The set will please collectors of training and liaison aircraft and modelers who want a finished build without long fitting. The package holds the parts of the kit; paints, glue and tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
