A flat white water-thinnable modeling acrylic paint intended for spraying with an airbrush.

A flat finish matters more with white than with any other color. A glossy surface reflects light so strongly that shapes merge on the model and a photograph loses its drawing, whereas a flat film lets every panel and every shadow come out. The uses are varied: the winter overspray on ground vehicles, which crews slapped on with lime in the field, the interiors of cabins and cargo bays, the undersides of fuselages, rescue and recognition panels, or a base coat under bright colors that do not cover on their own. This shade will also mercilessly reveal how carefully the surface was sanded before painting.
White has to be applied patiently. One heavy coat drowns the detail and still does not cover, whereas three fine passes made from a greater distance give an even area with no graininess. Let the surface dry between the passes, because a further coat would only gather up in a wet film.
The bottle markings of this range are well thought out: the field above the range name carries the shade number, the name of the shade sits in the middle, to the left of it is the degree of sheen and to the right the recommended use, that is whether the paint is a primer or intended for aircraft, cars, fighting vehicles, ships or weathering. Military shades usually also carry the country and the period.
The paint is thinned with water or with the thinner of the same range, and it should always be stirred well before work. A pure white shade also picks dirt up easily, so spray it through a clean nozzle. A dark base shows through longer than with any other color, so count on a higher number of passes.
