A plastic kit in 1:72 scale from ART model. The model captures the two-seat Sukhoi Su-28 trainer, a lightened training version derived from the two-seat Su-25UB. It is a typical short-run kit, to which small resin parts and a clear canopy are usually added.
The Su-28 came about as a training machine in which, compared with the combat version, the avionics and systems were simplified and the ability to carry armament was removed. It drew on the design of the Su-25UB and was intended as a replacement for the jet trainers of the previous generation. It remained only in the form of prototypes, however, and never entered series production.
With a short-run kit reckon on more sensitive cleaning up of the parts and on dry test fitting. We recommend thin cement for plastic, cyanoacrylate for the resin parts, a primer and spraying with an airbrush. The canopy is best masked and painted with care.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
