Plastic kit of the British bomber Vickers Wellesley Mk.I (African Campaign) in 1:72 scale from Valom.
Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the British single-engine bomber Vickers Wellesley Mk.I in the form for the African campaign in 1:72 scale from Valom. The kit is typical of the short-run molds of the Valom brand and usually comes with photo-etched parts and clear parts for the canopy. This boxing differs from the long-distance flight variant in its combat focus and in the markings of RAF machines deployed in Africa.
The Wellesley was a British single-engine bomber with an unusual geodetic airframe structure by Barnes Wallis and with great range. At a time when it was already out of date in Europe, it still served in the early part of the Second World War in East Africa, where RAF machines operated from bases in Sudan against the Italian forces. It is exactly this combat service in African conditions that defines this particular form.
It is a short-run mold, so expect more careful cleaning up of the parts and dry-fitting. Finish the cockpit and the photo-etched parts before you close up the fuselage, and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Lay down a primer before the color coats and apply the paints with an airbrush; desert camouflage tones are the ones to use. Apply the decals over a gloss base and add weathering with fine dust to match the African setting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
