Dead Design 1:48 AH-1G Cobra In and Out is a set of masks for the outer and the inner side of the glazing. The frame of the cabin is then correctly colored even when seen from the interior.

An extended masking set for the Bell AH-1G Cobra in 1:48 scale. Against the basic variant it contains templates not only for the outer but also for the inner side of the glazing of the cabin.
On the real machine the structure of the canopy is visible from both sides. From the outside the frame is in the airframe color, on the inside it tends to be in the shade of the interior, so when a model is painted only from the outside, a clear plastic structure appears when you look through the glass and the illusion collapses. With the Cobra that goes double: the glazing is enormous compared with a fighter, the tandem cabin is open to view from the side and from above, and in 1:48 scale you really can see behind the glass whether the work inside has been finished or not.
First stick the inner masks on and spray the shade of the interior. Once it has dried, the part is turned over, the outer templates are stuck on and the airframe color is applied. The key thing is that both sets sit on top of each other - which is why it pays to lay them down dry and check against the light that the edges line up. Spray thinly and take the masks off while the sprayed coat is fresh. Do not polish the inner side aggressively afterwards, so that the new coat is not scratched.
