Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet experimental wheel-cum-track tank RBT-5 in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian company UM (Unimodels). It is a short-run kit with fine parts and photo-etched items, which captures an unusual machine with large rocket containers on the sides of the turret. Because of the small scale and the fine execution it suits more experienced modelers rather than others.
The RBT-5 was an experimental machine derived from the fast wheel-cum-track tank BT-5. On the sides of the turret it carried two massive launch containers with large-caliber rockets (a tank torpedo), intended to destroy fortifications at long range. The designation wheel-cum-track means that the vehicle could run on tracks across country and, once the tracks were taken off, on wheels along a road. The RBT-5 remained only at the stage of prototypes of the mid-1930s.
Cut the small parts away carefully with a sharp knife and clean off the casting residue. Glue the plastic with liquid cement and the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. We recommend a primer and an airbrush; the typical finish is a uniform shade of Russian green. In a small scale rely on fine weathering: a light wash in the recesses, restrained drybrushing on the edges and little dust, so that the model does not go coarse.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
